Data Entry Module
MARS Travel Processing: E2 Travel data is Available in MARS Data Entry Reporting (May 2017) • E2 Travel Data is available in MARS Travel Reports (Reports 79). • E2 data is also used to update travel information in MARS Commitments. MARS Reports New functionality added to the Data Entry Labor Reports to report on the Comp/Credit Hours and Dollars Earned Object Classes • Reports 10, 11, 17, 17NE and 21. MARS Projection Data (as of last MARS refresh) is available in R&Q for Ad-Hoc queries (MARS Labor Projection Universe)
Reporting and Querying Module E2 (May 2017) • E2 Travel Authorization data was integrated with CBS Transactions data (from AP Trans) to offer a complete picture of the associated costs. • Reports "MARS E2 Travel Authorization and AP Trans Detail" and "MARS E2 Travel Authorization Detail" are available in the "Transaction Reports" category.
New Data Restriction Security (Nov. 2015) • In addition to the privacy restriction (for PII information) at the LO level, data privacy restriction is also available at the FMC level. It is possible for users transitioning from one FMC to another FMC to see PII information for their multiple home FMCs. • Reports with restricted data display "Restricted" instead of a blank field when a user is not allowed to see PII information. New BO Categorization (Feb. 2017) • Reports are organized into more easily understood categories and sub-categories: only few reports were moved around and few categories were renamed. Training Material (May 2016) On the MARS Portal under Training\Reporting & Querying\Presentations, the following Business Presentation is available: MARS R&Q: Data behind the Data. MARS Labor Projection Universe (Aug. 2015) • The Labor Projection universe is available in MARS. It provides the capability to query projected labor costs and FTEs (coming from the MARS Data Entry module) for the fiscal year. • Data Entry Labor Projection reports published in Reporting & Querying under Labor Reports\Data Entry Labor Projection Reports: o MARS Labor Projection Details (31). o MARS Labor Projection Summary (31S). o MARS Labor Projection Summary by Org/Project/Quarter (31Q). o MARS Monthly Labor Projections Summary (31M, 31D) Improved Universes • Variance Reporting Universe: Suffixed with "(OAR)", measures that only apply to OAR and located in the "MARS Labor" folder. (Jan. 2017). • Travel Manager Universe: Travel Manager data was mapped with AP Trans data to create the following objects (Nov. 2016): o Dimensions: Trip Purpose, GSA Purpose, Categories, Activities, Sub-Activities. o Measure: Net Amount (from AP Trans). • Budget Detail and Commitment Detail universes: Provided functionality to filter commitments by MEMOs and filter budget by Senate/House markups. (Jun. 2016).

(Jul. 2015). • Data Entry Commitments, Budget and Travel reports published in Reporting & Querying: o Commitment Reports\Data Entry Reports\MARS Budget Reports (Reports 7, 8, 12 and 12m). o Funds Control and Budget\Data Entry Reports\Commitment History Reports (Report 6) and Commitment Report by Requisition Number (Report 6C). o Transaction Reports\Data Entry Travel Reports\MARS Travel Reports (Reports 79).
Improved Reports • "Labor Reports\Labor Detail by Labor Type" and "Labor Reports\Labor Detail by Pay Period: Added FTE. (Apr. 2017). • "MARS User Permissions\MARS User List": Created a copy of the report for LO Admins, FMC Admins and Software Council Representative. They can only access data for their ORG Codes. (Mar. 2017). • Financial Statement reports under the "Monthly Variance Reports" category: Replaced Annual Appropriation column by Annual Allotment column. (Jan. 2017). • "Transaction Reports\MARS Non-Labor Certification of Obligations": Added the period of performance per the code provided by CBS (Nov. 2015). • Reports Affected Reference, Affected Document and Transaction History under "Transaction Reports" category: Added CLIN#.
